WILLEM (or WILHELM) I, Count of Holland, 2nd son, born about 1170. He married (1st) in 1197 ALEIDE OF GUELDERS, daughter of Otto I, Count of Guelders, by Richardis, daughter of Otto I von Wittelsbach, Duke of Bavaria. They had three sons, Floris (IV) [Count of Holland], Otto [Bishop of Utrecht], and Willem [Regent of Holland,], and two daughters, Ada [Abbess of Rijnsburg], and Richardis (nun). His wife, Aleide, died 4 Feb. 1218.
