I found it. An ancestor born abt 1700 in Rox shown as a son of this line. A too-easy identification that I missed.

The spelling I had was "Grahame." Margaret's ancestors are all in Wilton, Roxburghshire.

I am very suspicious of being related to any nobility. Magdalene is supposed to be my 8th great grandmother. The earliest ancestor I am certain of is Margaret TURNBULL b. 1722 [Turnbull-2383.] There is supposed to be a direct line from her up to Magdalene. Wikitree seem to agree, because they won't let me add anybody without excessive hoo-ha.
