Biography

Leah was born on 23 August 1862 in Concord, Cabarrus, North Carolina, United States. She was the daughter of Tobias Penninger and Louisa (Barger) Penninger.^[1]

In the 1880 census Leah (age 17) was living in Litaker, Rowan, North Carolina, United States.^[1]

When Leah was 21 she married Archibald Henry Kluttz on 25 September 1883 in Rowan, North Carolina. The couple had at least one child: Esther Geneva Kluttz.^[2][3]

In the 1900 census Leah (age 37) was living in Township 6, Faggarts & Township 7, Reed Misenheimers, Cabarrus, North Carolina.^[3]

In the 1910 census Leah (age 47) was living in Faggarts, Cabarrus, North Carolina.^[4]

In the 1920 census Leah (age 57) was living in Faggarts, Cabarrus, North Carolina.^[5]

Leah died at the age of 83 on 13 January 1946 in Cabarrus, North Carolina, United States.^[6][7] She is buried in Cross of Christ Lutheran, Rimertown, North Carolina.
