Research Note
I have detached this profile (Erskine-232) from his previous wife (Eleanor Stephenson) and children as he died almost 60 years before that claimed marriage & there is no evidence he was ever in the United States or Ireland Templeton-1883 17:07, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

I am a descendant of David Erskine 9th Earl of Buchan, brother of Thomas Erskine. David's great grandson Erskine Thomas Erskine arrived in NZ with his wife and five children in 1870. It is very interesting to learn about the wider family.
