Biography

Johann and Joanne had children from 1558-9 through 1566.

And there is a burial record on findmypast for John in January 1566 or 1567, need to check the original but 1567 fits better with daughter Mary's birth date. Initially it seemed this might be his son, but there is a will for his son John dated 1612 which names the various brothers, so this seems likely to be the father burial record (before his daughter Mary was born,which explains why no more baptisms have been found after Mary).

Research Notes

There is a burial in Stapleford Tawney for a Lilian Luther, wife of Thomas, on 26th June 1574 (https://www.findmypast.com/transcript?id=GBPRS%2FESSEX-BUR%2F0185873). Possibly the brother of John/ Johan? Unfortunately no other records found at this point.

There is also a marriage of an Ann Luther in 1590 to George Carelton or Capelton, at Stapleford Tawney: https://www.findmypast.com/transcript?id=R_859177802%2F2 and https://www.findmypast.com/transcript?id=GBPRS%2FESSEX-MAR%2F0053252%2F2. Could this be another daughter, or more probably given the date a daughter of Thomas and Lilian?
