Ichabod Bosworth was born on 31 May 1706 in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay. He was the son of Jonathan Bosworth IV and his wife Sarah Rounds.

Ichabod and first wife Mary Bowen married by Rev. David Turner on 12 Jan 1726/7 in Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay. Children from this marriage:

David Turner, Mary Bowen, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Rounds), born July 1, 1706; (no record of death); a cousin of Ichabod, Elizabeth being a sister of Ichabod's mother; married 2) in Warren, RI Nov. 19, 1748, (intention published in Rehoboth, Sept. 10, 1748) Bethia Wood, daughter of John Jr. and Charity (Millard) Wood, born at Swanssea, Mass., Nov. 17, 1718; died and was buried at Rehoboth, Dec. 20, 1760; married 3) at Rehoboth, by Elder Nathan Pearce, Apr. 23, 1761, Waitstill Higgins, 'a resident of Rehoboth.' 'Mar. 22, 1727/8, Elisha, Obadiah and Jabez Bowen, Ichabod Bosworth and Mary his wife, all of Rehoboth, and Jacob Chase, Jr. and Elsie his wife, and Ephraim Chase and Elizabeth his wife of Swansea gave a quit claim deed to 'our Brother Joseph Bowen' of land inherited from 'our honrd father Joseph Bowen Late of Rehoboth yeoman deceased.' Signed by all the above. (Taunton Deeds, 65-351) 'Apr. 5, 1760, Ichabod was witness to a deed given by Joseph Bowen to Nathan Pierce. (Taunton Deeds, 65-390) 'Ichabod made a will dated, Aug. 10, 1775, probated Sept. 6, 1775, in it he is called a 'yeoman.' After the usual preliminaries: 'Calling to mide ye mortality of my body & Knowing it is Appointed for man once to die do make & ordain this my Last will & Testament that is to say- principly & first of all Give & Recomend my Sole into ye hands of God who Gave it hooping through ye merites Deth & percion of my Savier Jesus Christ to have full & free perdon & for giveness off all my sins & to Enharit Eternel Life & my body i commit to ye earth to be deasently buried att ye Descretion of my Executor hear after named nothing doubting but att ye Generall Recktion I shall Receve ye same again by ye mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly estate wheir with it hath please God to Bless me with in this life I Give demise & Dispose of ye same in ye folowing manner: Impris: I give & bequeeth unto Waitstill my wife one third part of the Incom of my estate so long as she shall Remain my Widdow. 'Item: I give & bequeeth unto my son peleck Bozworth whom I Likewise Constitute make & ordain my Sole Executor of this my Last will & Testament all my Lands messuages & tenaments to him to be possessed & enjoyed for ever after my disceas & to his heirs & asigns for ever.
