Biography

Katherine was the illegitimate daughter of Andrew Brereton and an unknown mother.^[1]

Katherine had a half-sister, Katherine Smyth nee Brereton, the daughter of Agnes DeLeigh, who was married to Sir Thomas Smith of Hough.^[1]

Katherine married William Bowyer of Knipsley^[1] /Knipersley, the son of John Bowier of Knipersley and his wife Elizabeth the daughter of Lewson of Wolv'hampton in co Stafford.^[2]

Katherin and William had children:
