Biography

Katherine Hildyard married John Haldenby, son of Robert Haldenby by Elizabeth Scargill. They had one son, Robert and one daughter, Katherine (wife of Vincent Grantham).

Widow Katherine (Hildyard) Haldenby married 2nd William Girlington, son of Nicholas Girlington. They had three sons, Nicholas, William and Anthony and three daughters, Isabel, Katherine and Elizabeth (wife of George Littlebury).

Katherine's will was proved 5 April 1540.

In the Visitation of Yorkshire for the years 1563-4 she is listed as: Kateren = John Hawdnby first husband to Kateren = William Gyrlyngton 2 husband to Kateren.
