Biography

Roswell Palmer was born on 30 November 1762 in Hopkinton, Washington, Rhode Island. He was the son of Amos Palmer and Mary (York) Palmer.^[1][2]

Note: Hopkinton was part of Kings County prior to 1776

In 1790 Roswell (age about 27) was living in Voluntown, New London, CT.^[3]

When Roswell was 27 he married Sarah Campbell on 8 April 1790 in Voluntown, New London, CT. The couple had one child: Roswell Palmer.^[4][5][6]

Roswell died at the age of 61 on 5 April 1824 in Exeter, Washington, RI.^[7]

Roswell was buried after 5 April 1824 in Kennedy Cemetery, Wylie School Road, Voluntown, CT.^[8][9][10]
