Biography

Grace (Pippin) Williamson was born on 31 October 1912 in Oklahoma, United States, daughter of Charles Cleveland Pippin (1885–1957) and Curtis Belle Pippin (1888–1983). ^[1][2][3]

Her siblings were:

In the 1920 census Grace (age 7) was in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, United States. She was the daughter of Chas C Pippin who was a truck driver for a transfer company.^[2]

In the next few years, the family had moved and Grace was at school in 1924 in Elk City, Beckham, Oklahoma, United States.^[4][5]

In the 1930 census the family was in San Angelo, Tom Green, Texas, United States.they were living in a rented home for which they paid $30 a month. Grace's father and brother John worked as laborers at an oil station and another brother, Joseph, worked as a caddy at the country club.^[6]

Later in the year, the family moved again and Grace was at school in 1930 in Indiahoma, Comanche, Oklahoma, United States.^[1][7][8]

About 1931-1932, Grace married LeRoy Boyd Williamson and they had a daughter on 20 Nov 1932 in Plainview, Hale, Texas, United States. ^[9]

Then they had a son born premature on 09 Jun 1938 in Lubbock, Texas, but he did not survive and died the same day. ^[10][3]

In the 1940 census Grace (age 27) was in Justice Precinct 1, Lubbock, Lubbock, Texas, United States. Grace, her husband and their daughter were living with her father-in-law, L W Williamson. Her husband, Boyd was working as a Warehouse Forman in a Steel Company.^[11]

Sometime between 1940 and 1950, Grace and Boyd joined her parents and siblings in California. In the 1950 census Grace (age 37) was in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States and was the owner/manager of a furniture store. Boyd was the owner/operator of a service station. Their daughter was in High School.^[12]

Her husband, Boyd died on 27 Nov 1965 in Whittier, Los Angeles County, California, and was buried in Rose Hills Memorial Park. ^[13]

Grace died (age 93) on 6 May 2005 residing in Whittier, Los angeles, California.^[14][15]
