- 1815 - Nov 30 The dwelling house of Nancy's brother, Jesse, on the farm of John Welles of Boston was burnt in the evening of Thanksgiving day, when the three sons of the tenant, the youngest four and the eldest eight, died in the fire. The family was visiting neighbors and left the children asleep. In a few hours, the building was engulfed in flame. It was too late to save the children or the property.
