Biography

Granderson Glover is a part of US Black heritage.

Granderson Glover was born about 1845 in Louisiana (presumably) to Frank and Emily Glover. In 1870 Granison was working on a farm in the 3rd Ward of Claiborne Parish, Louisiana and owned $100 in personal property. He headed a 12-person household, but the lack of specificity in the 1870 Census makes it difficult to clearly attribute filial connections. ^[1] In that same year, Granderson mortgaged a 14-year-old black mare mule to Robert G. Rabb for $35.10. ^[2]

Research Notes

• Death Date - Granderson signed an affidavit for his daughter Mary Magdaline's delayed birth certificate on 13 October 1947, suggesting that he died after this date.^{[citation needed]}

• 1870 Census - There is a 25 year-old man named A. Glover who was enumerated on the same page as Frank and Emily Glover. His (presumed) wife was named Calander, suggesting that this could be Granison.

• Lineage - Grannison was enumerated directly below Frank and Emily Glover in the 1880 Census. Their respective birth states match that of Grannison's parents, providing serious circumstantial evidence that he was their son.
