Biography

This profile is part of the Bandy Name Study.

Epperson was born in 1794. He is the son of Richard Bandy and Jane Epperson.

Epperson was as a private in the Continental Army in the War of 1812.[1][2] He passed away on June 6, 1863, and is buried in the Bandy Graveyard, Wilson County. [3]

Epperson is mentioned in the 1815 will of his father Richard Bandy. Also listed as Richard's children are: Willchaw (Wilshire) Bandy, Parin (Paron) Bandy, Joseph Bandy, Solomon Bandy, Martha Cornalous, Elizabeth Jarvis, Sally Brown, Jemmison (Jamison) Bandy, and Richard Bandy.[4]

1834 - married Elizabeth Walker on December 22 in Wilson County.[5]

1850 - living in Wilson Co., Tennessee. Wife not listed with Epperson and children. His first name is given as Epison.[6]

1860 - living in Wilson County with son Jonathan, daughter Harriet & her husband and their two children. Age 66. Farmer.[7]

Epperson died on June 6, 1863, and is buried in the Bandy Graveyard, Wilson county, Tennessee.[8]
