Biography

HENRY GROSVENOR was the son of Randall Grosvenor and Anne Charlton.^[1]

Henry was alive on 23 February 1558/59 when his father Randall made his will:

• And the resydue of all my goods & cattals [chattals] aft my debts be payd my funerals dyscharged and thes lygaces p[er]formed I wyll to be devydet in two equall pts one pte to Anne my wyff & the other pte to be devydet betwene M[ar]gery my daughter Robert Rondull & Henry my yonger sones at the oursight of my ourseers.
• I make Anne my wvff M[ar]gery my daughter Rondull [Randall] & Henry my yonger sones to be true & lawfull exexcutors at the oursyght of Mr Alen Charlton pson [parson] of Whytchurche & Thomas bulkeley my sone in lawe my ourseers."^[2]

To be an executor, one had to be at least 21-years old, thus as Henry is always the last child listed he was born no later than 1538 and likely born much earlier.
