See Barriault p. 117. See the "Note explicative" p 117 for his evidence & reasoning on the construction of this sibling set.
Birth & baptismal records of all 6 siblings are unavailable, because surviving parish records at Angey begin only in 1689.
Georges Jouey was one of the 4 sons (among 6 children) of Samson Jouey and Jeanne Gosse. Barriault's research did not reveal data on Georges' own birth, possible marriage, or death. His place in this family emerges only from records of three marriages for which Georges appeared as a witness.
First, on Tue 4 Oct 1695, he was identified as a witness of the wedding of his brother Julien Jouey at Angey.
The second, on 21 Jan 1700 at Angey, was the marriage of his nephew Jacques DesHais Jr., son of Georges' sister Julienne Jouey (whose husband was Jacques DesHais Sr.).
Finally, on 26 Apr 1700 at Angey, he was a witness at the remarriage of the widow Françoise Turgot of Georges' late brother Jacques Jouey dit "Samsonnier".[1]
