Sir Ralph Grey, Sheriff of Northumberland, Keeper of Roxburgh Castle was born circa 1428 at of Chillingham, Doddington, Wark, & Heaton in Norham, Northumberland, England; Age 14 or 16 in 1443.^[4]

He married Jacquetta ______ circa 1451.

They had 2 sons (Sir Thomas & Sir Edward) and 1 daughter (who married William Reveley).^[5]

Sir Ralph Grey, Sheriff of Northumberland, Keeper of Roxburgh Castle died on 10 July 1464 or 8 August 1464 at Doncaster, Yorkshire, England; Beheaded for betraying Alnwick Castle to the Lancastrians.^[6]
