Biography

Noyes was born in 1775. Son of John Brown and Mary Holmes. Noyes married 8 Apr 1798 Mary Palmer in Stonington, Conn..

Marriage

Noyes married Mary "Polly" Palmer on 8 Apr 1798, in Stonington. John Brown was a witness at the ceremony.[1][2]

Marriage Research Note

In trying to understand why there is a mention in the "Brown Genealogy" of Noyes Brown, it has been discovered that Noyes is listed twice in "History of Stonington", once under the Chad Brown line (which is incorrect, though the information itself is correct) and once in the Lynn Brown (aka Thomas Brown) line (which is correct). Caution should be used in tracing his lineage back.[3]
