Biography

Edward was born August 27, 1824[1] [2], the son of George Armstrong and Salome Whitman of Annapolis County, Nova Scotia[3]

On May 16, 1855, he married Sarah Ann Curill in Bridgetown[3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [2], and their children included:

  1. Alfred, born 1861[5] [6], who married Lydia Clara Carmichael in 1892[8]
  2. Ernest Howard, born circa 1863[5] [6] [3], who married Alva Grant[9]
  3. Wallace R, born circa 1865[5] [6] [7], who married Hattie McMahon in 1897[10] [2]
  4. Melbourne, born circa 1867[5] [6] [7], who married Mary Davis in Yarmouth[11]
  5. Louisa, born March 13, 1868[12] [5] [6] [7] [2], who married Wilburt Cove Hatfield in 1911[13]
  6. Rupert Otto, born September 27, 1871[14] [6], who married Annie Lucretia Burke[15]

Edward did not appear in the 1911 Census.
