Biography

Edward was born August 27, 1824^{[1] [2]}, the son of George Armstrong and Salome Whitman of Annapolis County, Nova Scotia^[3]

On May 16, 1855, he married Sarah Ann Curill in Bridgetown^{[3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [2]}, and their children included:

1. Alfred, born 1861^{[5] [6]}, who married Lydia Clara Carmichael in 1892^[8]
2. Ernest Howard, born circa 1863^{[5] [6] [3]}, who married Alva Grant^[9]
3. Wallace R, born circa 1865^{[5] [6] [7]}, who married Hattie McMahon in 1897^{[10] [2]}
4. Melbourne, born circa 1867^{[5] [6] [7]}, who married Mary Davis in Yarmouth^[11]
5. Louisa, born March 13, 1868^{[12] [5] [6] [7] [2]}, who married Wilburt Cove Hatfield in 1911^[13]
6. Rupert Otto, born September 27, 1871^{[14] [6]}, who married Annie Lucretia Burke^[15]

Edward did not appear in the 1911 Census.
