Biography

Ensign Nathaniel Chesebrough served with 4th Battalion, Col. John Ely, Wooster's Brigade, Connecticut State Troops during the American Revolution.

Nathaniel Chesebrough, born 6 Jan 1734/35 at Stonington, Connecticut, was the third child of Bridget (Noyes) & Nathan Chesebrough.

He married twice:

1) 22 Feb 1759 Hannah Wheeler; they had 2 children^[1]

2) 21 Mar 1766 Mary Hallam; they had 8 children, including these who remained unmarried, producing no children of record:

• Keturah Chesebrough (13 Oct 1768 - 23 Dec 1852)
• Prudence Chesebrough (21 Jan 1770 - 28 Jan 1843)
• Hallam Chesebrough (1 Aug 1779 - 1811); lost at sea
