Biography

This profile is part of the Lockhart Name Study.
Malcolm Lockhart is a member of Clan Lockhart.

Malcolm was the son of Symon Lockhart.[1][2][3]

On 15 September 1229 witnessed a Charter of KING ALEXANDER II.

He had issue::

  1. Symon Lockhart, his heir, d. 1273[4]
  2. William Lockhart, progenitor of the Lockards of Bar [4]
  3. Ada Lockhart, m. 1st, Sir John Morham of that Ilk, and, Sir WIlliam Colvil of Kinnaird [4]

Research Notes

Douglas refers to him as Symon rather than Malcolm.[5]
One can infer from the witnessing of a charter in 1229 that Malcom was born prior to 1215.

Lockhart-2768 and Lockhart-422 appear to represent the same person because: clear duplicate - items of relevance in Lockhart-2768 have already been added to Lockhart-422 so the bio of the latter should suffice.
