Samuel Holland was born on 15 Sep 1768, Sandlebridge Farm, near Knutsford, Cheshire, England.[1][2] He was the son of Samuel Holland and Ann Swinton.
Marriage
Samuel Holland married Catherine Menzies, daughter of John Menzies and Ann Merry, on 14 Sep 1796 at St Anne's, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.[3] They had six children during their marriage;

Samuel Holland was involved in the lead, copper and slate industry in North Wales, and was also a prominent slate merchant for Penrhyn Quarry in the early 1800s.
Death and Burial
Samuel Holland died on 28 Sep 1851 at Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd, Wales.[8]
