Biography

Theophilus Hull was born about 1655 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.^[1][2][3] He was the son of Cornelius Hull (1628 - 1695) and Rebecca Jones.^[1][2][4][5]

Theophilus married Mary Sanford about 1690.^{[1][2][4][5][6]} They had the following children^{[1][2][3][4][6]}:

His two oldest daughters were baptized on 26 August 1694, the same day that he and his wife renewed their Covenant at Fairfield Church.^[4]

Theophilus appears in the will of his father that was processed by the probate court in October 1695.^[2][4]

Theophilus and his wife Mary were original members of the Congregational Church, Redding. ^{[3] [7]}

He was an ensign in the West End Company in May 1705. Four years later, in June 1709, he was a lieutenant. In October 1709 he became a captain.^[4]

Theophilus Hull was chosen as a deputy at the General Assembly and the Court of Election that was held in Hartford, Connecticut on 13 May 1708.^[8]

He died on 5 June 1710 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.^[1][9] His will was signed on 4 June 1710 and proven on 2 August 1710.^{[3][4][6][10]}
