Albert James Holman was born on July 14, 1818, in Guilford, North Carolina, his father, Spencer, was 23 and his mother, Esther, was 23. He married Mary Jane Spears on May 21, 1840, in White, Tennessee. They had 12 children in 28 years. He died on February 16, 1883, in Lamar, Arkansas, at the age of 64, and was buried in Holman Cemetery located in Lamar, Johnson County, Arkansas.
1850 Agriculture Census: Albert was 32 years old living in District 7, White County, Tennessee.
1860 Census: Albert was 45 years old living in District 12, White County, Tennessee. He was with his wife, Mary Jane. There was 8 children in the home.
1870 Census: Albert was 52 years old living in District 11, White County, Tennessee. He was with his wife, Mary Jane. There was 9 children.
1880 Census: Albert was 61 years old living in Perry, Johnson County, Arkansas. He was with his wife, Mary Jane. There was 3 children and 2 grandchildren in the home.
