Biography

Another strong woman who went through loss, and kept going. We know that Sarah B ("B"is still a mystery, but present from Census in her sixth year of life) "Sallie" Anderson Finney Sims Pavelicek was born in Dechard, Franklin County in Tennessee on 29 July 1859.

Imagining what life was like in the not even 100 year old United States right before the war that would begin when Sallie Anderson was only two ... one sees why Genealogy and History really go hand in hand. Two years old when the Civil War began, and about seven at it's end was surely a strange time in which to grow up - but perhaps we see the seeds of the strength this woman would require in adulthood, losing first one husband - Francis Marion Finney - while raising five small children, then a second - Bill Sims - after two more little ones (Claude and Foster) were welcomed into the family.

She married Venzil Pavelicek (born about 1863 in Bohemia, near the current Czech Republic) before 1910 until her passing.

Sarah passed away and was laid to rest at the North Elm Cemetery in North Elm, Milam County, Texas, United States of America.
