PA in 1803 while the mother was a native of Maryland was born in 1812. When about a lad of 15 James Lawrence went with his parents to Indiana. In Sept 1862 [1858] he bought a farm about 8 miles N.E. of Ottawa in LaSalle Co., IL where he lived for 4 years. He was smitten by the hand of death Feb. 28, 1858 [1862]. At the time he was 54 years 6 mo. of age. In Dec. of that year his faithful wife was also called to her final rest." The subject book is in poor condition and cannot be photocopied.
