Biography

John Strickland Jr., son of John Strickland (1649-1716) and Esther (Smith) Strickland (abt.1653-bef.1725), was born about 1681; he married Elizabeth, whose maiden surname was either Diggins or Dickens, on 8 March 1704/05 at Glastonbury, CT. Three children were noted to have been born to John Strickland Jr. and Elizabeth in the Glastonbury, Connecticut Town Records: ^[1]

1. ) Elizabeth Strickland, dau. of John and Elizabeth, was born 12 Dec 1705.
2. ) John Strickland, son of John and Elizabeth, was born 8 April 1709.
3. ) William Strickland, son of John and Elizabeth, was born 27 Aug 1711.

The Glastonbury town records also note that John Strickland Jr. passed away on Christmas day of 1711. ^{[1][2] [3] [4]}
