Biography
Great Grandfather Miles had a sawmill & made cheese boxes which they hauled to "Shaken". Son, Alonzo, took his wages and took a trip up to Niagara Falls. Grandfather, Henry L. BEACH, took a chunk of land on the corner. The bride (Susan Ager) had over a thousand dollars cash so grandfather built a house, dug a well and planted an orchard. Alonzo wanted to move in with them until spring. He never moved out. Grandpa had no deed. It grieved Susan Ager BEACH, his wife. (caused her death).
1880 Vernon, Trumbull, Ohio census shows:
Miles E. BEACH, farmer, M, Married, age: 72 Birthplace: Connnecticut, Father's BP: Connecticut, Mother BP: Rhode Island. Emaline BEACH, wife, F. married, white, age: 72, Birthplace: Connceticut, Father's BP: CT, Mother's BP: CT[1][2]
