Columbus Williams Services for Columbus Williams, 70, of Leesville, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Beauregard Vernon Chapel in Leesville. Officiating will be the Rev. Gil Arthur. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Slagle.

Visitation will be at 3 p.m. this afternoon.

He died Saturday, Aug 19 at his residence.

He was a native of Vernon Parish, and he worked for civil service. He was an oiler on a drag line. He was a veteran of WWII.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Glen Williams, of Texas, one daughter, Kate V. Williams, also of Texas, one brother, James Williams, of Leesville, one sister, O. J. Sumner, of Massachusettes, three grandchildren.
