Burial and WiIl

He was buried in Charminster on the night of the 30th November 1630 [3]

George's will was written in May 1530, a few months before his death, he asked for his body to be buried without any embalming in his aisle at the parish church. His commendation was a simple one, describing himself one of the 'elect of God' and reflecting his puritan approach to religion . George had been unwell for some time before his death, leaving ten pounds to "Katherine Darbye for taking paines with me in my longe sickness " Apart from a couple of amendments to leases, his will concerned mainly his goods and chattels rather than the succession of his estates.

He made bequests to the poor of Charminster, Stratton and Lytchett Mattravers and made provision for an 'ould' servant and small sums of money for three other servants. Several of his relatives received small bequests.

two Grandaughters, Elizabeth Williams and the Lady [ D?] ,
his daughters, Elizabeth Browne, Jane Williams and Dorothie Champeronone
to his daughter in law 'Chafin' and to the wife of his son John
to his sons in law, Sir John Strangwaie, Bampfield Chaffin and John Williams
to his son John Trenchard and cousin Henry Trenchard

His son Thomas was appointed executor, the overseers were his 'good friend Richard Swayne, his son in law John Browne, together with Richard Wright and Andrew Kelney.full transcription of will [4]

added some detail (other children and will) also restored capability to add inline references as would like to flesh out his bio a little further.

Note the baptism at Charminster of George Trenchard on 9th Sept 1575 is the baptism of his son George According to Family Search, the register says son of George and Anne (actually the page is very unclear and it's very hard to see if it says Ann or not but it's the most likely) "England, Dorset, Parish Registers, 1538-1936," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QJDC-WVS2 : 6 August 2014), George Trenchard, 09 Sep 1575; Christening, citing Charminster, Charminster, Dorset, England, Record Office, Dorchester; FHL microfilm 2,427,601

Trenchard-84 and Trenchard-31 appear to represent the same person because: same/similar dates and places, family is the same, merges proposed
