Biography

Birth

Isaac, Jr. was born in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut on 26 Sep 1715 to Martha Mudge and Isaac Tilden^[1][2][3]

He was the first and only child of Martha who died at 18 years of age just 7 days after delivering Isaac.^[4][5]

"Isaac Tilden" is named In the will of his maternal grandfather Micah Mudge.^[6]

Isaac, Jr. was baptized in Lebanon on 16 Oct 1715.^[7]

Isaac's father married second Rebecca Mann in Lebanon on 14 June 1716.^[8]

Isaac's father and step-mother had at least 6 children, all born in Lebanon.^{[9] [3]} Isaac was thus likely raised with them in Lebanon by his father and step-mother Rebecca.

At some point, Isaac, Jr.'s family moved from Lebanon to Hebron -- 10 miles to the west. They appear to have accompanied Isaac Jr's maternal grandfather Micah Mudge who had also removed to Hebron by Sept 1717.^[10]

Marriage and children

In Hebron, Isaac, Jr. met and married Irene Phelps on 10 Nov 1743.^[11]

7. Theda, born 15 August 1758^[24], d. in Hebron, Tolland, Connecticut on 15 August 1738.^[25]

Migration north to Richmond, Berkshire County, MA

Sometime between the birth in Hebron of their last child (1758) and the marriage of the oldest child Calvin (1775), the family moved north to Richmond, MA.^[26] Among the other vital records of Richmond are the 1775 marriage record of Isaac's son Calvin to Lydia Fuller^[27] and the 1777 death records for their twin sons^[28]

Death

Isaac, Jr. died in Richmond 9 Jan 1792.^[29][30]

"Widow Tilden" died in Richmond in 1809.^[31][32]
