Obituary

Belfast, Dec. 11 (1949) -- Mabel P. Morse, 83, of 9 Pierce Street, died at a local hospital today after a short illness. She was born here August. 12, 1866, the daughter of James and Abbie W. Hathon Paul and had lived in Belfast most of her life. She was a member of Mystic Grange at Belmont and was a retired school teacher after 38 years of service. She has been on the faculty of many schools in Waldo county.

She is survived by her husband Willard G. Morse.

Funeral services will be held from the Coombs Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Tuesday with the Rev. Frank A. Pitman of the First Church of Belfast officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in the Spring. Bearers will be Merle Whitcomb, Colby Rackliffe, H. F. Hosses and Herbert R. Hill. ^[1]
