Evie (Rittenberry) Madewell was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.
Evie Lois Rittenberry was born on July 14, 1931 in Putnam, Tennessee, United States, daughter of John Monroe Rittenberry (~1879–1936) and Sarah Jane Denson (1905–1984).
Evie (19) married Frank Edward Madewell (20) (born on July 24, 1930 in Monterey, Putnam; son of Noah Lee Madewell and Rosey Walker) on June 16, 1951 in Putnam. [1]
In the 1940 census Lois (age 9) was the daughter of Dan Tash in Civil District 20, Putnam, Tennessee, United States.[2] Dan Tash 33, wife Sarah Tash 36, son Benjamin Rittenberry 13, daughter Sadie Rittenberry 11, daughter Lois Rittenberry 9, daughter Grace Rittenberry 3.
Evie died on April 30, 1997 in Cookeville, Putnam, aged 65. She was buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Baxter, Tennessee.[3][4]
