Biography

Benjamin Carroll Cannedy was born in 1 Feb 1893 in Collin Co, TX to Ransom Alonzo and Jannette Cannedy.[1]

In 1917, when he registered for the draft, he was living in Hollis, OK. He was employed by W.F. Motley in Hollis. He was married and had 2 children.[2]

In 1900, Benjamin was living with his parents, Ransom and Susan, in Duke, Greer, OK.[3]

On 19 Jul 1893, he and Louella Nelson were married in Harmon, OK.[4]

In 1930, Benjiman and his wife, Leverta, lived in Looney, Harmon, OK where he was a cotton farmer. He and Leverta had been married 17 yrs. and had 7 children.[5]

In 1940, he and "Lanella" lived in Wichita, TX where he was a farmer. They had 5 children living with them.[6]

In 1942, he registered for the draft for WWII. He listed his residence as Iowa Park, Wichita, TX. His next of kin was Mrs. B.C. Cannedy.[7]

He died in 14 Jul 1949 at the Flying V. Ranch, 8 miles outside Wichita Falls, Wichita, TX where he was a ranch foreman. He is buried in Gould Cemetery.[8]
