Thomas Sweeney was born on August 19, 1870 in Inverell, Colony of New South Wales, son of David Sweeney (1844–1892) and Mary Anne Cross (1852–1931).
Thomas (24) married Rachel Elizabeth Kennedy (20) (born on November 25, 1873 in Inverell) on October 30, 1894 in Inverell. Their children were:
Thomas died on January 10, 1961 in Tingha, New South Wales, Australia, aged 90.[1]
