Funeral services for Arthur Clukey, 53, of Water street who died suddenly Monday afternoon were held Wednesday morning at St. Anne's Catholic Church. The Rev. C. J. Enright officiated and interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
Born in Dexter, Jan. 24, 1897, the son of Peter Napoleon and Elizabeth Dyer Clukey, he was employed at the Amos Abbott Company mill; was a member of Cardinal Mercier Chapter, K. of C., and St. John's Society.
Survivors are his wife, Nellie Clukey; two daughters, Mrs. Stada Cyphers, Dexter; Mrs. Marie Smith, Chambersburg, Pa.; three sons, Justin and Lawrence, both of Dover-Foxcroft, and Richard, U. S. Army stationed at Ft. Dix, N. J.; five sisters, Mrs. Angus Mountain, Mrs. Joseph Cote, Mrs. Clement Gilbert, Mrs. Stanley Frautten, Mrs. Joseph Higgins, all of Dexter; four brothers, Fred, Clifford, Bernard and Edward Clukey, all of this town; 11 grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
