Biography

The Harmon Genealogy calls him "Probably a descendant of Nathaniel." It does not claim that he is a son.^[1]

Williams birth is unknown.^[1] His children were born in 1733 and 1735, indicating that his birth was probably about 1700 - 1713.

He married Sarah Marquard, dau. of Peter and Sarah Marquard, of Braintree, Massachusetts.^[1]

He died in Braintree 20 Oct 1735^[1]

Research notes

From Sprague: William Harmon, ancestry unknown, first appears in town at his marriage Apr.13,1730 at Christ Church to Sarah Marquand, born -, died Apr.16,1778 "with the small pox", dau. of Peter & Sarah (-) Marquand. No settlement of his estate is on record but she left a will naming her children. He lived on part of his wife's land which the Marquands had in the limits of the old Faxon Farm or Atherton Hough grant. The house built probably near 1735 is still (1955) standing on present Wood Road in Braintree west of Granite St. near Quincy line.^[2]
