In the Carroll County, AR Cemetery Listings on-line, there are listings for the following buried at Huff Cemetery on Elmer Huff's field near the West End not far from Osage Creek: F.A. Sisco, his wife, Nancy Sisco (daughter of Hugh Miller of Virginia), and son F.A. Sisco [Franklin A. Sisco]. - J.Kasher

Per "These Were the First," p.548, "an exact date has not been documented to determine when the Sisco family made the long, arduous wagon journey from Overton County, Tennesse, into the wilderness area of the Northwest Arkansas Ozark Geographical Region to settle in Carroll County, Arkansas. However, most family members think that trip was made sometime around 1838. Also, it would seem that Thomas Fancher Sisco, Sr. and his family were accompanied on that journey by his father-in-law, Hugh and Mary (Long) Miller and some other members of the Miller family. After their arrival in Carroll County, the Sisco family settled into a valley on Osage Creek, a few miles east of what became Osage, Arkansas. This patriarch of the Carroll County Sisco clan continued to live on the land he originally homesteaded until his death in 1872. He was buried in the Ramsey Cemetery of Carroll County, which is now located on the Huff Farm near Osage. Nancy (Miller) Sisco joined her husband in death during 1875, and she is buried beside him."

Interestingly enough, there is also a "Franklin Sisco", Co.E., 3 Ark. Inf. CSA, with the same date of birth and almost same date of death (2/18/1863] listed in the Carroll County, AR Cemetery Listings on-line for Delmar (Shady Grove) Cemetery, but as all of Franklin A. Sisco's parents and grandparents are listed in the Huff Cemetery on-line, it makes sense that the F.A. Sisco buried at Huff Cemetery is actually the Franklin A. Sisco who is son of Thomas F. Sisco and Nancy Miller Sisco. - J.Kasher
