Silas was born in 1784. He passed away in 1860. [1][2]
Note: His grave marker lists him as "Capt. Silas C. Beardslee", so he was a Veteran, but I haven't located anything to document his military service. Possibly a member of the Connecticut Militia. J.B.

.Wow! rac elisted as mulatto! Now I have a bigger search ahead. 1/18/2012 I believe that the M and mulatto are a mistake as I dont see it in any of the other census and mainly because the male female place and the race place are side by side and none of the other census' are marked with race in that year and none on the same page are marked with race!
