Elisha Beardsley & Spouse were both descendants of the immigrants William Beardsley and Mary Harvie.

Elisha Beardsley was born on 9 Apr 1787 in Huntington, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony, son of Samuel C. Beardsley (1760–1836) and Phebe Curtiss (1765–1857).

Elisha married his fourth cousin once removed Ruth Beardsley (born in 1786; daughter of Thaddeus Beardsley Sr. and Sarah (Cook) Beardsley).^[1] Their children were:

• Amelia Beardsley (1820–1850)
• Susan C Beardsley (1822–1909)
