Birth

Daniel Guernsey was born on 31 May 1749 in Litchfield, Connecticut to John Guernsey (1709-1776) and Anna Peck (1713-1794).

Marriage

He married Rachel Jones (1761-1834) c. 1780.

1. Anna Guernsey was born on 10 March 1783 in Ballston Spa, Saratoga, New York, United States. She married Lewis Grant on 16 March 1805 in Edwardsburg, Greenville, Ontario, Canada. Anna died on 28 May 1865 in South Mountain, Stormont, Ontario, Canada.
2. Samuel Guernsey was born in 1787 in Ballston Spa, Saratoga, New York, United States. He married 1) Sarah Bull (1792-1858) c. 1809 and 2) Mary Taylor (c. 1809- ) on 12 May 1859 in Leeds and Granville, Ontario, Canada. Samuel died on 15 November 1869 in Cornwall, Stormont, Ontario, Canada.
3. Rachel Guernsey was born in 1794 in New York, United States. She married Phineas Pelton (1788-1853). Rachel died on 22 September 1871 in Ontario, Canada.
4. Cynthia B. Guernsey was born on 12 January 1797 in Ballston Center, Saratoga, New York, United States. She married Samuel Farrel (1793-1858) in 1817 in South Mountain, Stormont, Ontario, Canada. Cynthia died on 24 February 1882 in Dundas, Cornwall, Stormont, Ontario, Canada.
5. Fanny Guernsey died on the way to Canada with her family in the early winter of 1801 by drowning in Lake Champlain. The sleigh that she was riding in broke an axel on the thin ice and she went down with the horses and sleigh.

Death and Burial

Daniel died on 15 October 1833 in Cornwall, Storming, Ontario, Canada at the age of 84. He was buried in the South Mountain Union Cemetery, South Mountain, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties, Ontario, Canada. Find A Grave: Memorial #53482512
