Elizabeth Shurtliff Wilson, daughter of Lewellyn Wilson and Bertha (Willis), was born 28 July 1914, in Ashford, Connecticut. ^[1]

"Elizabeth Garnesky Thompson, 95, left this world peacefully on Nov. 13, 2009 at Vernon Manor Nursing Home. Elizabeth was born in Ashford to Lewellyn and Bertha (Willis) Wilson on July 29, 1914(*1). She has joined in Heaven her first husband and father of her children, John Garnesky, who died in 1962, and her second husband, G. Merritt Thompson, who died in 1977. ..... Elizabeth was the last surviving sister in a family of eight girls. Predeceasing her were Vera Busse, Evelyn Fries, Gladys Bennett, Carrie Chebro, Myrtus Ferry, Alice Janiak, and Judy Kraft. Friends may gather Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at St Bernard's Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St Bernard's Cemetery, Rockville. Relatives and friends may call at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the , 279 New Britain Road, Suite 5, Kensington, CT 06037. Elizabeth's family would like to thank the staff at Vernon Manor for the loving and dignified care given to our mother.^[2]
