Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1915. She is the daughter of Everard Wilson and Henrietta Astley.

By 1921, the family was living in Wellington, Comox, British Columbia.

In 1932, she witnessed her sister Mary's wedding to Stephen Foster, and indicated her address was in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. [1]

On 2 August 1933, @ St Paul's Church in Nanaimo, BC, she marries William Lawrence Selby (23 April 1910 - 15 January 1989). They had a child, Elizabeth Olive Selby, who was born on 15 Oct 1933 and died on 14 Jul 1934 @ Departure Bay, BC, Canada. By 1939 William is found married to a different living person, and they have 2 children together (who are living as of 2022).

By 1947, her father writes to his nephew Jimmy in Saskatchewan that Beth is living on Sea Island with a husband and a son. It is not clear if this is Willard or someone else. On notes attached to her father's death papers of 1951, her last name is Warren. Due to privacy laws, no records found at BC Archives to confirm this.

When she signs her mother's death certificate [2] in November 1956, her last name is Stewart, and her address is 17 Douglas Crescent, Richmond, BC (this is the same address as her brother Henry Everard had for most of his life too). In 1957 she and Willard are found at this address in Voters lists held by Ancestry [3].

by 1962, we find her and Willard living in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada, record also held by Ancestry [4].

and they are still in Kitimat in 1974, record held by Ancestry [5]

She died at Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace, BC, Canada on 11 Mar 1995. She was a widow and her death certificate was signed by Doug MacFarlane, no relation to her.
