Abiah is the daughter of Israel Beardslee and Elizabeth French., and the spouse of Nathaniel Mallory ^[1]

Additional circumstantial evidence, identifying Henry French, the Loyalist, as a son of John, and grandson of Samuel, the joiner, of Stratford, Conn., relates to the Mallory family of Mallorytown, Leeds Co., Ontario. John French's sister, Elizabeth, married Israel Beardslee of Stratford. Their oldest daughter, Abiah, married Nathaniel Mallory, son of Daniel and Sarah (Lee) Mallory, of Stratford. Nathaniel and Abiah are the progenitors of all the Mallorys of Mallorytown. They are buried in the cemetery at Mallorytown, apparently in one grave, having a tombstone inscribed Nathaniel Mallory died March 8, 1808 aged 56 years also Abiar wife of the above who died March 15, 1828 aged 82 years. In 1936 Miss Huldah Mallory of Mallorytown stated that her great-grandmother was Abiah, wife of Nathaniel Mallory. Her father's genealogical record gives the name "Abia". Abiah (Beardslee) Mallory was undoubtably a first cousin of Henry French, the Loyalist.
