Biography

Henry Wadsworth Terry was born on February 3, 1799 in Hartford, Connecticut. He was the son of Nathaniel Terry and Catherine Wadsworth Terry.

He attended Yale College and became a landscape gardener.

He married Anna Hurlburt January 6, 1824 in Connecticut. They had two children: Rose and Alice.

In 1850 the Terrys are living in are living in Hartford. Henry's age is given as 49 (it should be 51). Anna is 46, Rose is 23 and Alice is 18.^[1] The 1860 US Census lists Henry as 61 and Anna as 57. Rose has left the family and Alice is only 18.^[2]

Henry died on July 16, 1874.^[3] He is buried in the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Connecticut.^[4]
