Biography
Polly Slayton was born on 3 Jan 1813 in Brookfield, Worcester, Massachusetts to parents Josiah Slayton and Polly Kinney. She married Alphonso Howe in February of 1833.[1] (Intentions were filed September of 1832.) Children:
- Sarah Ann, 1833-1833
- John Murray, 1834-1905
- Sarah Jane, 1835-1868
- Anjanette Cherry, 1837-1915
- Elbridge, 1839-1894
- Albert Slayton, 1841-1905
- Lorinda, 1842-1914
- Frances Amelia, b. 1845
- Edwin A., 1847-1907
Her husband was a dealer in coal, wood, hay, grain and fertilizers and owned and lived on the old Phineas Slayton farm.
Polly died in 1847. She was 33 years old.[2] She is buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in East Brookfield.[3]
