In 1860, Mary Ana Booth, 52, owned real estate worth $20,000 and personal property worth $6000. She lived with Edwin Booth, 26, a tragedian; Rosalie Booth, 27; Asia S. Clarke, 19; John W. Booth, 22, a tragedian; John S. Clarke, 27, a comedian; Jos A Booth, 18; and Asia S Clarke, 4/12. All were born in Maryland except Mary Ana, who was born in England, and young Asia, who as born in Pennsylvania. Three black servants were living with the family: Nancy Hall, 16; Rebecca Anderson, 16; and Evelyn Anderson, 23.[1]
