Biography

Henry Disbrow, son of Caleb and Sarah, was born on 19 April 1756 at Fairfield, Connecticut. He married Rebecca Barnhum and Hannah Merriam.

Served with Johnson, Connecticut men in the Revolution. Other officers Capt. Albert Chapman's Company, Col Heman Swift's Regiment, 7th Ct, Conn Line. Enlisted 1777 as a private. Fought in the battles of Germantown (Oct 4, 1777), Monmouth (Jun 28, 1778), and Danbury (Apr 27, 1777).

He had 2 wives 1) Rebecca Barnum (1760-1817) m: May 15, 1838, 2) Hannah Merriam m: about 1819

He was living in Jefferson, Delaware, New York when Rebecca died on the 20th of Oct 1817. DAR only shows descendants of Sons James and Caleb as filing for membership in DAR. Records show 9 sons and 4 daughters born to Henry and Rebecca

Henry died on 15 May 1828 in Medina, Medina County, Ohio and was buried at Weymouth Cemetery, Weymouth, Medina County, Ohio. His memorial has biographical material and links to those of family members
