1) The birth name of Joshua's wife's mother, i.e. Abiah's mother, is speculated to be Morton, which as of this date remains unsourced. Though Ebenezer and Hannah (Bacon) Morton had a daughter named Mary born 17 June 1711 in Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony per the Mayflower Births and Deaths Vol. 2, p. 110, it is uncertain that this Mary Morton is the "Mary M." who married Abiah Wadsworth and had a daughter named Abiah. Hence Mary Morton, who is connected here by others as Abiah Wadsworth's mother, remains uncertain and requires further research despite the parental and spousal links provided in Find A Grave Index Memorials.
2) Two children, Polite and Prudence, have been connected by others as children of Joshua and Abiah (Wadsworth) Collamore; however, these two children are not so named in a well known and well used work entitled Genealogy of the Descendants of Anthony Collamer written, compiled, and edited by Charles Hatch. See page 142 in sources below. Hatch presents nine (9) children and not eleven (11). Further research and proof are needed in confirming that these two children were daughters of Joshua and Abiah.

He was one of the most active men in that settlement and acted as a legal adviser. The court house being in the western part of the county, at Frankport, those who attended were obliged to sleep on the floor or in barns, or sit up all night. About the year [ 1800 he removed his place of abode from Friendship, Me., to Union, Me. He married Abiah, the widow of Cornelius Morton, who was the daughter of Abiah and Mary M. Wadsworth of Medumcook. Her grandfather was Elisha Wadsworth of Duxbury, Mass., and the Elisha Collamore mentioned in the U. S. census of 1790 as an adult living at Barrettstown, and who also deeded land in that vicinity, was probably her son (named for his grandfather Wadsworth). Abiah, the wife of Joshua Collamore, on May 9, 1803, deeded to her son Lebbeus 100 acres of land at Medumcook, " a certain farm or tenement being the farm which did belong to my former husband, Cornelius Morton. The History of Union, Me., shows the names of Joshua and Alpheus Collamore in the list of members of the Methodist Church in the year 1808. In the year 1798 Joshua Collamore paid a U. S. Direct Tax on 200 acres at Friendship and occupied a house belonging to Charles Samson.

BIOGBAPHY. Isaac Collamore in his will left to his sons Davis and Peleg the 'homestead and 36 acres of land in Scituate and the pew in the West Meeting House.' Each son deeded his share in the property to their brother-in-law, Nehemiah Randall, in 1770. At this time Davis was a yeoman in the town of Scituate. There appears to be no record of what later became of him. He left no children so far as known. As a Minute-man he marched in Capt. Ward Swift's (2nd Sandwich) company, on the Lexington Alarm, April 19,1775.
