Biography

Martha Agnes White born 1809 in North Carolina was the daughter of Serrul White and Susannah Lankford. The family migrated to Marshall County, Tennessee after 1810. She married John Thomas Spears of Elbert, Georgia in Tennessee in the year 1824. Their first seven children were born in Tennessee. The family moved to Newton County, Arkansas in the year 1840. Three more children were born in Arkansas. She died in 1880.
