Maria 'Mary' Reed, daughter of James Reed and Margaret Floyd, was born 1742; died 1828; married 1763 James Stephenson^[1]

Maria "Mary" Reed married James Stephenson in 1763 in the Colony of Pennsylvania. Circa 1790 the couple moved from PA to Martinsburg, VA, where they lived until Mr. Stephenson's death in 1804. After her husband's death, Mrs. Stephenson traveled with her daughter and son-in-law, Isabella and John Boyd, to Knoxville, Knox County, TN. Later joined in Knoxville by some of her other children and their families, Mrs. Stephenson would live there for almost a quarter of a century.
